The Glamour Holiday - the grand era of travel in the 1920s and 1930s Claire Walsh Thursday 05 December 2019

With the growth of the package holiday, travel was no longer the preserve of the wealthy.    The Bright Young Things of the 1920s sought new destinations such as the African Bush, new corners of the Riviera, ski slopes and the ocean liner.    Art Deco played a significant role to signal the exclusivity, luxury and modernity of the Glamour Holiday.
